So as of now I have lots of time to spend on this post. I'm chatting online and waiting for Anne (new roommate) to wake up and then I think we're gonna go climbing at the wall down the street. This wall is really close to us and I think I might start going pretty often. I love climbing and I think it's a fun way to stay active.
But anyways...I thought I'd try the whole picture posting things. I only have a few pictures of my new home, but here they are:

This is one of the many beautiful sunsets at Colola beach, where we lived while in Mexico. It was absolutely beautiful. The waves were huge and green and the sound of them crashing was a constant that I still miss. The coast of mexico slopes from the northwest to south east, so the shore actually faces southwest. thus the sun sets over the hills at the top of the beach. Makes for some beautiful sun reflections on the waves. The sunsets were one of the most beautiful things in Mexico, and we got to see them every night!

This is one of the turtles that we patrolled the beach for from 11pm-4am every night. Some of those nights also had mucho tequila and smoking, but it was usually just relaxin on the beach and napping waiting for the turtles. If a turtle came up on the beach we'd watch it dig a hole and then lay its eggs. Then we'd move the turtle and dig up the eggs and re-bury them inside the protected and guarded fence so nobody could steal the eggs.

This is my friend Jonathon, he's from England and he was at the camp in Mexico. He has a "moheican" and will be going to "uni" in fall. Jon rocks! Known as Yonaton to the Mexicans, he managed to get super-sunburned and had all of his skin peeling off. It was quite disgusting. He rocked though and was the constant music provider with some good music and the nice little speakers. He also had the joy of being completely buried in the sand up to his neck by yours truly. I really thought about just leaving him there, but we realized he could get out on his own (after a huge amount of effort). Good times!
Posting pictures is kind of awkward, cuz I'm too dumb to figure out the formatting of them, but here's just a few from my new life here in New Zealand.

The view from the window in my new room. The campus for school is actually visible in the picture, up the BIG ASS hill. It's the highest building you can see in the pic.

This is part of the hill that I get to walk up every day to go to school. Of course, I'm enjoying school thus far and so it's worth it to walk up the hill. Especially since some of the buildings have a wonderful of Wellington Harbor and the city.
Here's that view:

Well, enough pictures for now. I'm currently on a kick listening to "Ghetto gospel" I guess it's elton john and tupac or something. Jonathan sent it to me.
I had a really fun night last night. We've started going out to this particular club called The Big Kumara. The have good music and tons of people go there and drink and dance! And nobody really cares how you dance. We've been there twice in the last week. We went again last night and took out our kiwi (new zealander) roommate caroline. she doesn't drink or go out usually, so we were happy to have her come with us. We also got her up and dancing and we had a fun time. While there we ran into our Swedish friend Ake. He was drunk and was babbling to Anne and I about making a porn or something. He was hilarious! Then Caroline went home and we went outside and ran into our really drunk friend. We wandered down to the bar that Prince William supposedly hung out at when he was in Wellington for the big rugby thing. It was sleazy and very expensive. Anne and I both got our asses groped, something which made Paul really mad. He said that we should kick those guys in the nuts. I felt that was a bit rough of a punishment. We decided it was too expensive to drink there, so we went back and ran into Ake again on the street. He had found some random also drunk Swedish girl and they were yelling at eachother in Swedish. At this point (I thought it was about 1am) we realized it was 3am and we weren't tired! So we headed off to this other club, Indigo, which must be open super-super late. There weren't many people there and the music wasn't that great, but Paul got up on the stage and was dancing like he always does! Crazy-man!! Anne and I were just enjoying ourselves, but we had a bit of a posse around us. It was relaly funny. Then drunk-ass Ake (Mr. fuck-tard) came over and was dancing like the flamingest person ever even though he's not gay. He dresses very uhh..nicely? And people often thing he's gay. Last night he was wearing a tight white v-neck shirt. He came over to us and then "tore off" his jacket and sweater and started dancing all crazy. He was FUCKING HILARIOUS!!! When we got back to our room at 4:30am we got out of the elevator on the 4th floor and there was a random guy totally sprawled on the floor just passed out in the middle of the hallway. We woke him up and he stumbled off to his room after staring at us enough to run into a wall. it was a really great end to the night!
other than that i've been kinda sucking at school, but it's cuz i'm kinda shy. I'm making friends in my department though, there's chris, shane, snout, another chris. One of the Chris' surfs and I've been asking him for advice. Maybe he'll actually show me sometime, but I highly doubt that. I went to a seminar yesterday (i'm turning into such a nerd) and the guy who presented was adorable! he was really cute, of course i was too shy to actually say anything to him, but he's in my department so maybe i'll run into him again.
i finally have a cell phone! it's so exciting! if anyone ever feels like texting me, i dont think it's very expensive...well...it's not expensive for me to text you back = ) if anyone wants to text me, my new number is 011644211664512 (i think) that includes the NZ country code and all that crap. i think. = P
of course i'm also always contactable at tiffbock@gmail.com

I have a snail mail address!! Hah!
I really should do these readings. They're really dense though, all about genetics of like every creature in the sea and shit. Stupid Anton (guy in my marine bio class who talks too much). He picked two fucking long papers for his discussion topic. I think my heart just skipped a beat...is that bad? i suppose i could've just made it up = P
i think i need more iron in my diet. the red meat here is kinda scary (it being a dining hall and all) and i've been feeling kinda low on energy, and when i'm late to eat a meal i get shaky. i hate that!
okay....i guess that's it for now. i dont particularly miss the states, i do miss having people around that know me well, but i'm getting there with a few people. i also miss having my friends that i can flirt with and they know its just me. i've had to be so careful to watch my flirting. i also think that i may never be able to meet people outside of a club or something (i've always met people through sailing and music and such). i'm really shy at clubs and such and i wouldn't know what to do if anyone ever approached me or anything. hah!
okay...time to read
