i just went up to feed my anemones. i just had to mention something i saw yesterday. it was a car. a car with antlers. the most adorable plush antlers, one out each of the front windows. as if that wasn't holiday-ish enough, it had a little red nose attached on the front grill. the most adorable thing ever!!
I am VERY proud of myself. I've been such a good girl about taking care of my anemones! I realized that I had to feed them before campus "locks down" on the 23rd. This takes planning because I have to go up 24 hours before i feed them and see if there are any Apistasia (no idea how to spell that) shrimp (their food), if there isn't, then i have to start some by putting the "spores" in the salt water with the light on and bubbles going. Then I have to come back the next day and feed the anemones by squirting the tiny little shrimpies onto the anemones. Then 24 hours later I have to come back and clean the shit off of them because otherwise they'll suffocate. it's not really shit, it's more just debris and such...but i do have to dump the water out of them, wipe each anemone with a q-tip, and wipe off the whole glass thing, then re-fill the glass and put them back into their shoe box home. this all has to be done in the dark. btw. i actually did it all too! and each day involved walking up that stupid big fucking hill after working all day at the bagel store! can't believe my parents will be here in 3 days. that's just insane.
i need to be cleaning my flat since it's starting to smell like yeast, but i'm definitely feeling like never moving again. luckily i only work until 2 or 3 tomorrow so i'll hopefully not be as tired and cleaning tomorrow will leave less time for the place to get dirty again anyways...
i'm trying to plan out my cooking for x-mas. how long everything will take and if i can, in fact, show up at the airport to meet my parents. i think the buses are running free! woo!
i should stop typing.
cheers
